Okay, I was totally going to blog about how spectacularly wonderful my birthday was this year, and I still will, I promise, but I had to share this e-mail I just got from my friend Shoshana:

By the way, I just made a mac and cheese with bacon in it that is to die for!  You actually use the bacon grease to make a bechamel sauce, so it's basically a heart attack waiting to happen, but it is soooo worth it:)

Aren't you glad she and my friend Megan are working on a cookbook?
