It was pretty much a weekend where we sat around and looked at each other. Neel was out of town until late Friday, and given that he'd left at 3:45 Thursday morning to drive to where he was giving a seminar, we were all pretty wiped out.

The first week of school will do that to you.

So there were bits and pieces of activity: grocery store, garden store, mall for some birthday shopping, workout (!). We'd planned a beach dinner for Sunday, but it got rained out, so Monday we took Violet to the beach. I'll tell you more about that on Thursday, but it was for us (if not for her!) a great culmination to the Labor Day weekend.

School really starts now, doesn't it? Super short week this week, and there's a birthday at the end! I'm gearing up for all of that, and trying my best not to have any more migraines. That would be really, really nice.
