Wow. I really am feeling all of the feels right now. My mom and I were in a car accident yesterday. It was minor. Totally minor. Not my fault, and I so feel for the young woman who ran into us because I've tired to speed across the same intersection hundreds of times (it's notoriously hard to see at this spot) in hopes that there were no oncoming cars.
There is so much to be grateful for. No one was hurt. A police officer was there and saw the whole thing. She was gracious (and insured!). It wasn't raining. When I (dreading) went to call her insurance to file a claim, she'd just called and I got the same customer service rep to help me out. When little things become big things. Hashtag that, baby!
But, we crunched hard, and our car isn't drivable, and of course it's the busiest time of year, and I'm achy and spent all afternoon feeling queasy and jittery (thanks adrenalin!). Grateful and still impacted, I guess that's what we are.
Fortunately I got my photo for yesterday taken early, so here are my photos for the week (wink). A glaring omission, as you can see. You'll survive, I'm sure.
So we'll all survive. Just like Cal will survive this last exam (math) and we're onto Winter Break and all the fun (once the claims adjustor comes) that entails. Happy weekend, my lovelies.
